Combining Centre Map Tutorial & Zoom Tutorial

I am having problems combining the two 'How To' tutorials - Re-centering the map & setting default zoom levels. The problem I am having is that my client has a few locations within the UK that they wish to show. I have enabled the user to click through the locations and have the map re-centre using your 'How To' tutorial. However...

I have been asked if it's possible to have the initial default view of the map to be UK wide rather then zoomed-in and centered on the first location on the list. I tried this using your Zoom tutorial but it's not working, it also breaks the re-centering functionality.

I can only assume that this is because of the alterations I made to the code with the re-centering tutorial as when I do either of these tutorials on their own they work fine however combined they both break. Are you aware of this and do you have a workaround please?

Many Thanks!

Stu

I just ran a test of combining the two tutorials together and they worked on my computer, I did not run into a problem.

The only thing I can see that may cause an issue, is the Centering links tutorial has you add this code after line 17:
map.setCenter(point, 13);

the second argument in the setCenter function is the zoom level, change 13 to the zoom level you are trying to use.

If you still have problems, can you post a link to your page so I can examine the code.
