using both iRite and HTML Editor extensions

I have sites with iRite that I may have to edit
at the same time, I may purchase HTML editor for new sites

I trust the two are separate independent extensions?

NO, You can't install iRite and HTML editor at the same time. But you should be able to make edits to iRite instances using HTML editor.

It definitely should work. But it is recommended to delete your iRite instance and add a new HTML editor instance since you are able to save the HTML Editor as a preset.
