ecart and iframes

Good Morning,

I am looking at purchasing ecart, and integrating it into my ASP site. The website has a 3 column layout with header and footer with navigation in the left column that lists all products (www.dap.com.au). When clicking on a product, a static product detail page is loaded into a ifame in the central column. I would like to know if the "add to cart" button can be embedded in the product detail page ? Will the product if clicked show up in the quickcart that sits outside of the iframe ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. You should be able to add the Add To Cart button to your iFrame and since eCart uses sessions then the product should show up outside the iFrame.

ecart and iframes

Excellent.. this makes ecart the only platform that I have come across that supports iframe product pages... congratulations.

On another matter, can the checkout pages be styled as a one page accordian checkout that separates client details, shipping and payment ?

Once the check out is created you could add your own styling to the page with out effecting the work flow of the check out process. And as long as the form elements exists in the form the page you should be able to move them around.

Is QuickCart Ajax based ?

Hello, can you please tell me if the quickcart is ajax based and therefore not require the whole page to refresh when product is added ?

no, the quick cart is not ajax based. the page will need to be refreshed when an item is added to the cart.
