Define image source location?

Thread began 11/10/2009 10:50 am by chadhuskey391193 | Last modified 11/10/2009 5:07 pm by Dani Chankhour | 1912 views | 1 replies |

Define image source location?

When I create pages with DataAssist that reference image files I need to be able to define the source directory. The jpeg file names are referenced in the items table, but by default it looks for the jpeg files in the root directory. I would prefer to be able to reference them to a sub folder rather than putting all of my image files in the root directory.

How would I change this setting?

Thanks

It is not recommended to store a path with your image in the database because the path depends on where the image is being referenced. You should add the path the image src tag as follow:

<img src="../Images/Upload/<?php echo $row_WADAProducts['ProductThumb']; ?>" />

This will allow you to adjust the path depending where you are view the image from.
