eCart product options

Product options. I have a product with 5 sizes and corresponding different prices. How can I display the selection and have the users choice added to my shopping cart?
I have ItemID, description etc. How do I list the options?,

In the Download center, the download page for eCart has a section for the eCommerce Recipes.

The eCommerce Recipes has a chapter for Dynamic (or database driven) shopping options that will explain the process.

Unfortunately these tutorials do not deal with my problem.
These are for checkout.
I have one item with a specific ID. This item can be purchased in different sizes, each size has a different price. I would like to offer a list of the various sizes with corresponding different prices. I want the users selection to be sent to the cart. I am trying not to have a "send to cart" button and unique ItemID for every size/price variation, just one for the price size selection. Its like a form value dropdown list. But I cannot get the selection values passed to the "send to cart" button to the checkout "Cart" page. I can use a static option but I need every variation as a separate item.
FYI
I am in Brisbane Australia so time differences make a fast response difficult.
I hope I have explained myself properly.
Thank you
David

The Dynamic Product options tutorial in the eCommerce recipes is not for checkout it walks through adding a select list for size and color to a product, exactly as you are describing.

When you download the eCommerce recipes PDF File from the download center, look at chapter 6 - datbase Driven Shopping Options starting at page 148
