shopping cart without payment gateway

I am setting up a shopping cart for a company that would like the checkout to have two choices;
1 - paypal
2 - no payment gateway, where they would deliver the order on their delivery trucks and invoice the customer.

it that possible with eCart4? and what steps to accomplish this?

thanks for your help,

Should be easy to do.

Just run the checkout wizard with paypal local checkout.

Then once the wizard has run, open the confirm page and remove the server behavior: local checkout.

This will remove the direct card processing and leave the paypal express checkout option functional.

Then go to the checkout page and remove any of the fields you don't need, like credit card information.

i use paypal web standard which in the checkout wizard is remote checkout.
when i go to confirm page server behaviors, i don't see 'local checkout'.

so, to run checkout wizard again, i removed all behaviors and now when i start checkout wizard, i get error message
"in file WA eCart Checkout Wizard;
initializeUI is not defined.

i had an incompatible Universal Email bu upgraded to 3.0 and had no problem; i have reinstalled dataassist and database search, cookie toolkit and validate toolkit, css sculptor.
is it a compatible issue with any of those?

thanks

You need to delete your winfilecache.dat file in your user configuration folder. This is a common problem in cs4 when updating extensions.

1) Close Dreamweaver
2) Go to windows explorer and enter the path: %appdata%
3) Browse to Adobe/Dreamweaver CS4/en_us/Configuration

That is where you will find the .dat file to delete.

that worked.

on the question of local checkout, i use paypal website standard which is a remote checkout. Can i still do the option of a choice of paypal or no payment gateway and be invoiced by the company?

Yeah, if you are using remote checkout, then all you would have to do is after running the checkout wizard add another form and another button to the page that says "pay later" and have it in its own form and have the form action go directly to the success page.

i added another form on the bottom of the confim page and renamed the submit button to submit2, had the form action go to success_checkout, but how does the order and shipping info get to the company shipping?

i added universal email to the confirm page with the submit2 as the trigger.
what do i add to the body of universal email to get the correct order and shipping information sent?

When running the checkout wizard it should have given you an option to store the information in the database and to send an email. Those should still work.

To add one now, add universal email to the page. Instead of changing the form action, instead make the form action go to the confirm page and apply universal email with the trigger of the button you added and a redirect setting to go to the success page.

It will allow you to build the email body in DW and you can cut and paste or use bindings to get the contents from your shipping form.
