Number of loops

Support, is there a way to increase the number of records from a recordset that can be plotted at any given time. It must be a parameter in the generated map file. By default, only about 30 records at a time can be plotted....

LMK. Thanks.

Marshall.

We don't have any limits to the number of records to plot, however, Goolge Map might have some limitation to the number of points it could draw.

I also want to mention that Pro Maps for Google have a cache system that stores addresses in an xml file to make it faster to draw points and not have to call the google map API every time the page is browsed.

Pro Maps XML Chached File

I am having problem with not all markers displaying from a recordset. I notice you mentioned Pro Maps uses an xml cached file to deliver data to Google. Can you tell me where this file resides. Does it live on the User's PC or the Web Server? I pressume if I delete this file it will be re-created when the map is next viewed. Thanks!

This file is created on the server at _promaps_cache/_promaps_geocache.xml

Each address in your recordset that is successfully geocoded, the latitude and longitude will be stored in this file so that the next time the page is loaded, it will not have to contact google to geocode the address again.
