Error

Hi

setup my external webserver in DW and get the following error

Mysqlerror 2000



mysqlnd cannot connect to mysql4.1 using old authentication


I've contacted my hoster who telle me the mysql is version 5

I can connect using phpmyadmin and navicat

Any ideas?

Do you get this error in Dreamweaver? or when testing the page in a browser?


If you get this error in Dreamweaver, can you send a screen shoot of your testing server settings in a zip file. Also what are you entering on the database tab for the MySQL Server.

I've attached the zip file which contains a screen shot of the connections setup in DW

then a screen shot of it when I've pressed the test button and finaly a screen shot of the connection file.

This is connecting to my live server for final testing it has worked ok on my local testing server apart from the email side (which I expected)

Using the credentials listed I can log on using navicat or phpmyadmin.

To hopefully aid a solution (as I'm a phpmysql novice) I've included screen dumps from navicat showing the settings etc

Please include a screen shot of the testing server settings in the Dreamweaver site definition.

I've attached the screen shot as you asked but this relates to my testing server on my local PC not my remote web server.

Have I confused myself?
