Larsort2375074 connection method

I received a notice from an provider indicating they would no longer be supporting the Weblink connection method and that the use of the Advanced Integration Method (AIM) or Simple Integration Method (SIM) would be the most preferred methods. I believe I got the message only because the Weblink connection method is enabled within their control panel for this particular account.
They suggest disabling it but before I can do that I need to know what method I am currently using.
So.... What is the connection method used when choosing in the checkout wizard, or more specifically, is the weblink connection method ever used?

eCart Will use the Advanced Integration Method (AIM) for local checkout and Server Integration Method (SIM) For remote Checkout. It will not use the weblink connection method.
