OptionsGroups Question

Thread began 10/13/2009 2:09 pm by terry164844 | Last modified 10/13/2009 3:37 pm by Ray Borduin | 796 views | 2 replies |

OptionsGroups Question

Are OptionsGroups setup for each product? When you add an option on a product does it create a unique OptionGroup?

Why am I asking this?

There is a need (I'm sure by many) to create one(1) product and allow that product to be assigned to multiple product categories.

I'm trying to understand the inner workings of PS so I can code for this.

Thanks for the help,

Currently, each product can only be added to one category in PowerStore. There has been user feedback to ask for the ability to add a product to multiple categories, so I believe this will be implemented in a future release of Powerstore.

If you are referring to product options, these will need to be added for each product you create. The product options are specific to each product you have. For example, you would create an option of Size, and set the values to Large, Medium and Small.

OptionsGroups has nothing to do with Categories, it is used for options like Size, Color, etc.
