userFilesPath

May I have the dummies 101 explanation for the php / config file for image upload in iRite?

Do I use a folder on the site, as appropriate, so it reads 'images' if I am uploading to the images folder, or do I follow the tutorial path of
'iRite/userfiles/' and this created on the fly?

Or some other path?

In this case, the iRite page is in a password protected folder and the uploaded images will be outside that folder.

// Path to user files relative to the document root.
$Config['UserFilesPath'] = ' xxxxxxhere ' ;

Thank you.

Thank you for the pointer. I know the root, but that is entered in the line below, so a bit confusing. Stupid of me not to have thought to go to the fckeditor documentation! duh!

Thanks.

I checked it a gain for myself. Thing is, that the images stored in relative path. Not to use in a CMS where images are stored somewhre else.

$Config['UserFilesPath'] = "http://www.yourSITEtoTHEfolder.com/folder/"

that absolute path thing must point to the same folder.

And,now, what I also did, is to change the SUBFOLDERS that are created. In my way, the regular upload over the search server button stored the images in an extra subfolder "image" "Media" "flash"

I just deleted the entery ."/image" ."/media" a little bit more down in the in the config.
