Mysqli no longer works on php 8.1.19

Hi, having some trouble with getting MySQLi working on a more current version of php, specifically 8.1.19

Some troubleshooting steps:

1) Removed, downloaded and reinstalled the latest version of the Webassist components:

rsobj.php version 2.55
queryobj.php version 2.34
authentication.php version 2.22

2) Checked webserver log, produces the following error:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: mysqli_fetch_fields(): Argument #1 ($result) must be of type mysqli_result, bool given in /config/www/v1/webassist/mysqli/rsobj.php:260

3) Checked rsobj.php line 260. It is:

$this->Columns = mysqli_fetch_fields($query);

4) Did some research and found the following recommendation:

In PHP 8.1.19, there is no mysqli_fetch_fields() function available. Instead, you should use the mysqli_fetch_field_direct() function to retrieve information about the columns in a result set.

Would rather not start modifying your component - I'm sure you are aware of this issue. Is there a work around or should I downgrade the version of php until you can produce a fix?

It looks like mysqli_fetch_fields() should be available. The error you are getting implies there is an issue with your connection. If you give me FTP access then I can debug it for you, but I think the issue is with your database connection being wrong.
