John

authentication creates two lines in the session.

WA_AUTH_LCCC_Login|a:8:{i:0;s:9:"tmpRec_ID";i:1;s:7:"tmpPaid";i:2;s:11:"tmpUsername";i:3;s:13:"tmpPermission";i:4;s:11:"tmpPassword";i:5;s:7:"tmpCode";i:6;s:8:"tmpBoard";i:7;s:8:"tmpClass";

I have been working om this problem off and off for over 4 months. Reformed my desktop and re-installed windows 10, Switch from IIS to WAMP. All php pages connected to a database without a session works find. It appears my 2nd page is reading tmpPaid from the first line which should be a 'Y'. Can you help please? I copied the session to the attached txt file.

It looks like tmpPaid has a value of "Y"... what exactly is the issue? You can't get the value on the next page? I may need FTP access and a URL with steps to reproduce in order to debug it. I don't see any problems in your files and don't really see an issue described in your post that I might look into.

authentication creates two lines in the session.

The problem is on my testing server. I assume the problem is in the PHP files. I using Dreamweaver 2021 on a WAMP with PHP 7.3.1 on Apache.

Everytime I run run the Login_members,php file I get to sessions. One is blank. The login confirmation.php session_start() is trying to read the tmpPaid from the blank session (at least I think so.

Attached ate the two sessions

If it only happens on your localhost, then I'd have to look at your localhost to diagnose the issue. It could have something to do with your .htaccess files. I really wouldn't be able to debug this one without access to the server for testing. If you call me I can do screen sharing with you to help you debug it.
