Progress Bar

Hi Ray. My index1.php page takes about 10 seconds to load. I want to add progress bar whilst this page is opening. I tried to use your Web development tutorial
Add a Progress Bar. I did add the script, but the progress bar is not showing. What shell I do?

Please post a url where I can see the issue. It is possible that you just didn't upload all of the necessary files.

You can see www.adplus.net.au for the issue.
Home page takes 10-12 seconds to load. I wish to have loading/progress bar whilst that homepage is loading. The following files are uploaded webassist/progress_bar/jquery-blockui-formprocessing.js and webassist/progress_bar/images/slate-largespin.gif

There is really no way to make a progress bar open "while a page loads" since the progress bar won't load until the page does.

The progress bar is generally used for while a page submits, or while the next page loads.

You could create a loading page that the user goes to first that has the progress bar, then have that page redirect to the next page that loads slowly, then they will see the progress bar page until the next page loads.

I could probably also help you fix the page so it doesn't take so long to load, which is probably the better option. Pages really shouldn't take that long to load, so I'd suggest trying to solve that problem instead of putting a band-aid on it with a progress bar.

Thank you Ray. I have solved the problem. I have created index page with redirect and loading animation. You can see the result on adplus.net.au.
