500 Internal Error

Getting 500 Internal Error when I try to go to a protected page using Secure Assist. No loging page loads. The following error is displayed on the page...

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

This is a generic error message that your webserver is returning. To determine what the problem is a more meaningful error message will be needed. To enable the more advanced error messaging in IIS 7 for Vista you will need to do the following:

1) Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools
2) Open the IIS control panel and open the ASP option
3) At the top of the ASP control area select Display: Friendly Names
4) Now go down to the Compilation area and expand Debugging Properties
5) In debugging properties make sure to set Enable Client -side Debugging, Enable Server -side debugging, and Send Errors to Browser to TRUE. Make sure to click the Apply on the right side of the page.
6) After setting the debugging you must go back to the IIS control panel and using the controls on the right side restart the server.

This will enable debugging info to display when an error occurs. This should be turned on while testing and should not be left enabled for a live server.

Using Firefox Mac OS 10.5

Thanks, but what about when I am using Firefox Mac OS 10.5 as my browser

Well, the server is set to return a generic error message.

Without knowing the exact error message I dont have any thing to go on.

try contacting your host to see if they can set the errors to display for debugging or look into the error logs and report back the exact error.

No Error Messages

Firefox Error Console is not showing any error messages.

NONE OF THE SCRIPTS I PAID FOR IS WORKING. Navigating to any page just gives the same error message. Login, Register, All of them doing the same thing.

Fire fox error console will not give the error.

The error is occurring on the server.

You need to talk to the host to have them either show the error in the browser, or look up the error in the servers error logs.

Until I know the error that is occurring, I do not have a direction for where to look.

Hermes

I was able to get the errors turned on.

I am seeing several errors, most of them referring something to do with Hermes. Here is the most recent one

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wa_securityassist_email_2_sendmail() (previously declared in /hermes/web01c/b1006/hy.dcrawford/Members_EmailPW.php:11) in /hermes/web01c/b1006/hy.dcrawford/Members_EmailPW.php on line 22

Any suggestions?

Warning: mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /hermes/web01c/b1006/hy.dcrawford/reportbookrequest.php on line 526

Warning: mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /hermes/web01c/b1006/hy.dcrawford/reportbookrequest.php on line 528

Thanks. Dexter.

On the Members_EmailPW page, it sounds like there are 2 instances of the email password behavior. You should remove one of them from the server behaviors list.

For the reportbookrequest.php is sounds like 2 record sets where removed from the page.

When a recordset is deleted from the page, the mysql_free_result() that cleans it up is usually left behind. You can probably safely delete lines 526 and 528.
