when I updated the origin question I must heave Donne it wrong so I will redo it

how do you check the version of extension loaded , update ,de ét if need be, and extension

can I upload overwriting exiting or would it be better to edeletet installed version fit=st

would you clear out the cache file beforehand

Just install the latest version. You shouldn't have to uninstall previous versions of the same extension, but it wouldn't hurt either.

The version should be listed in the extension manager, but I'd just reinstall anyway to be sure.
