code is showing when using html editor - resolved

The code is showing on my live pages. I did find this ticket but it is from 2011 and I can't get the lightning bolt to appear.

This will happen if there is any formatting on the Initial Value of the editor instance.
Do you have the initial value for the HTML Editor instance coming from a recordset? or other dynamic source?

If so, edit the HTML Editor Instance, and click the lightning bolt next to Initial Value, reselect the Dynamic source and make sure that no formatting is applied.

You just have to add a "false" argument to the getColumnVal() function call to remove the formatting. You can do this on the update page with the editor value as well as any page where the content is displayed. It will look something like:

php:
<?php echo($Recordset->getColumnValue("columnName",false)); ?>

I found this on line #254 of my update page and adjusted it.
// The initial value to be displayed in the editor.
$CKEditor_initialValue = "".((isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("eventsbrannualupdate","late_fees_entry_deadline",false):"".$WADAevents_br_annual_update->getColumnVal("late_fees_entry_deadline")."")) ."";

That line should be:

$CKEditor_initialValue = "".((isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("eventsbrannualupdate","late_fees_entry_deadline"):"".$WADAevents_br_annual_update->getColumnVal("late_fees_entry_deadline",false)."")) ."";

Please attach the other complete .php page. The pdf file you sent had the line cut off halfway through.

Line 254 of the update page should be:

$CKEditor_initialValue = "".((isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("eventsbrannualupdate","late_fees_entry_deadline",true):"".$WADAevents_br_annual_update->getColumnVal("late_fees_entry_deadline",false).""))  ."";

and line 83 of the details page should be:

php:
<p><strong>Late Fees/Entry Deadlines..:</strong> <b><?php echo($WADAevents_br_annual_details->getColumnVal("late_fees_entry_deadline",false)); ?></b></p>

Thank yo! This resolved the issue however now I am getting an error message each time I open the page. Actually I have 3 instances of html editor on the page and I get the message 3 times ie 3 times I x it away. It was once, then twice then when I updated the third instance of html editor now it is 3 times. Screen shot of message attached.

It is a little particular in how it expects the value to be set. You are missing a space that is causing the error.

Instead of:

$CKEditor_initialValue = "".((isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("eventsbrannualupdate","late_fees_entry_deadline",true):"".$WADAevents_br_annual_update->getColumnVal("late_fees_entry_deadline",false)."")) ."";

it needs to be:

$CKEditor_initialValue = "".((isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("eventsbrannualupdate","late_fees_entry_deadline",true):"".$WADAevents_br_annual_update->getColumnVal("late_fees_entry_deadline",false).""))  ."";

I can see you only have one space before the final ."", and there needs to be two spaces.
