Compatibility issue with the new rsobj.php with MySQLi Extension

It looks like rsobj.php that comes with DataBrigde v2 is not compatible with MySQLi Extension.
When inserting a date into a date column, an error message is thrown: “No data supplied for parameters in prepared statement”
To solve this, datatype in script that executes the query has to be changed from (t)ime to (s)tring and paramDefault from WA_DEFAULT to WA_BLANK.

Why use the same filename “rsobj.php” for 2 different extensions?

The new Databridge will replace MySQLi and have all of the functionality integrated. There was a bug in the version you had installed. I think it is fixed if you install the latest version of the BETA.

Okay, I will install the latest BETA.
Does this mean, MySQLi will also not be supported anymore once DataBridge V2 comes out of BETA?

We continue to support old extensions. It just won't have to be bought separately if you own Data Bridge.
