Create folders in CMS

Is there a way I can create folders for my templates in CMS? For example, I would like to have folder that I can open and closed so that I can keep the left hand menu small.

You can create folders with php. Are you using powercms or a custom cms you built? Are you talking about from within the file manager?

Hi Ray,

Yes I'm talking about powercms. I'll attache an image showing the section I want to create folders for.

I see. I could make those into collapsible menus to help with space. I'd have to charge you for a support incident to do the coding for you. I'd need a url and FTP access to make the changes.

Thanks Ray, that sounds good. I will need about a week or so before I'll be ready to move forward. Also, is it possible to also create the ability to create folder within folder? For example, There will be entry for day, month and year. I would like to be able to place all the month entry into a folder and at the end of a year place all the months into a year folder.

Thanks,

I'll have to think about that one. I'm sure it is possible to add folders and categorize, but it might be a lot of work. Adding accordions is a more straightforward solution. We can discuss that over the phone in a few weeks when you are ready to proceed.

Hi Ray,

Another question. Can you assist me in creating a forum for a website. Similar as the webassist one?

I can assist in anything. I did spend quite a bit of time building this forum though, so hopefully you would be doing most of the work.

Thanks for the response Ray. That's kinda of how I think of you. If a client asked me, I assume that I can get it done with your assistance.

Because I needed it for a launch on Sunday I went with a "Out of the box" solution. I will want to build it out myself in the future though.

I will be reaching out to you in a week or so to do some of the work we discussed above.

Thanks again.
