Issue with Dreamweaver CC 2018 and bindings panel not reinstalling properly

Just a word of caution to all.

I updated from DW 2017 to DW 2018, then tried to reinstall the data bindings and server behaviors panel. I added via DMX, and tried to follow a completely useless Adobe help video too. DMX says it is installed, but the options are not appearing in the "windows" dropdown menu, and shift-F10 does not bring up any results either.

My chat with Adobe tech support left me with a "wait til Monday" answer, as they need a specialist to look into it.

Please please please take the elements of MySQLi (a wonderful product) out of the clutches of Adobe and give them a separate menu?

My head hurts!

You don't need to install the Database and Server behaviors server behavior anymore with our extensions. That functionality is included with our installer.

I just installed version 2018 next to 2017, tried to install MySQLi_105.zxp using zxp installer. It says that it has installed and to restart dreamweaver (closed during install), but when I restart there is nothing happening. When I opened up a file I expected the WEbassist installer to open and for me to add a registration code, but nothing. Is this because I have both still open? The reason I do is that Creative Cloud kept sticking, so Adobe help installed from the internet rather than the creative cloud.

UPDATE

Spent some time with an Adobe support tech today, she tried to install the MySQLi extension manually with no success. She tried a lot of things but it would not install. Is this because I have Dreamweaver 2017 on the same machine?

The ZXP Installer may only work with the most recent version. Try using the free extension manager from project7: http://www.projectseven.com/products/ex-man/info.htm

Hi Ray, I downloaded the installer, and it doesn't even see that I have the 2018 version installed, which I think is the problem. I've sent a screenshot link, any thoughts?

I tried to install to the 17.5.0 version in the screenshot and it installed correctly again :) but not to 2018

Try reinstalling DW 2018 and then reinstalling the Project Seven extension manager after that. It has to be some sort of issue with the installation of one or the other.

Maybe the DMXZone extension manager will work better:

solved - I had to uninstall all versions of Dreamweaver before Creative Cloud would install 2018 using the Creative Cloud. It did not recognize 2018 after being installed as a standalone install. Thanks for looking in to it.

MySQLi Server Behaviors only appear in the Server Behaviors window. Go to Window->Server Behaviors and click the plus (+) button and go to WebAssist->MySQLi to see all of the available options.
