SA Wizard fails to load mySQL DB Connection

So, running DW CC 2017 on a MAC with MAMP Pro.

When i run the wizard and go to database setting to define / select mySQLi connection, it appears in the option list for selection, but when i select the connection, the wizard locks for a couple of minutes, then dissapears leaving no connection and tables selected.

The mySQL DB and table are all present in phpmyadmin and there are no privaledge or user issues preventing access.

This behaviour is replicated across other connections and mySQL databases.

Any ideas why this app is behaving this way?

The SA wizard has not been updated to work with MySQLi. You need to use a standard MySQL connection in this wizard until the next Data Bridge update.
