mySQLi module not installed error

I have a client installed on a new instance with SiteGround, and I can access the mySQL table with my remote tools, no problem. Trying to create a connection in DWCS6, and I'm getting this error again. I've updated to version 1.0.4 of your tools, and checked that the modified .js file is still in place. Hosting company insists everything is fine. Help??

The FTP information isn't working for me. Perhaps you have IP restrictions keeping me out?

Have you created a page with <?php phpinfo(); ?> and verified that mysqli is installed?

If mysql is installed, this is usually an issue with your site definition. Have you verified your testing server is configured properly for your site?

I can fix this issue by downgrading the PHP version to 5.6 - but obviously finding a solution for the current 7.1 version would be preferred. I screwed up the password when I sent to you earlier - sorry. New pw listed in PM.

Also..

I have set the PHP version back to 7.0 so you can test.

It works for me. When was the last time you reinstalled MySQLi server behaviors? We may have fixed this issue in a bug fix update and reinstalling might help. If not I'll need to do screen sharing to reproduce it and debug it since it is working for me from here.

it Works?

Hi, sorry - when you say it "works for you", are you saying you can create a recordset? I updated to 1.0.4 a couple of days ago to see if that might solve the issue, but on my machine, I still have the same problem. Nothing helps except downgrading the PHP version on the host.

Yes I'm able to test the connection and create a recordset. Can we do screen sharing to look into it?

Screen Sharing

Of course. As more hosts move to version 7.0+, I'll need for this to be able to work, and this is two hosts so far that I have had troubles, so whatever we can do to fix this on my machine. Contact info in PM.
