PEAR include files issue.

PEAR include files issue.

I have just switched over to using PEAR.

Php itself is working OK, but none of my include or require files are loading.

When I put a $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] directive in, I do get a report on the page telling me the path to my document root.

I have tried putting slashes, dots, and the like, before the includes, but so far nothing works. I am sure I am making a simple and obvious error, but can't spot it. Anyone any ideas? What other tricks can I try to get an include path recognized with PEAR? Everything else is working, just no inclodes or requires

Thanks

This sounds like a server configuration issue. Have you asked your hosting provider for help?

No help there

Yes, no help there. They told me to try a forum. As far as they are concerned, they did their bit getting PEAR loaded & working!!!

I tried adding the home directory to the 'include_files' section in Plesk, but that has not helped.

I'll go back to them & try aenew hicket. But if anyone has any other ideas!!!

Thanks

Where Includes Set? (Back Again!!)

Hi

They told me firmly that this is outside their scope (ISP}. Does anyone have any ideas where my includes would bs set? It's not in my php.ini file, and I also tried a setting in ”Plesk”. I'm on Linux c (Centos}, any ideas for where I could look to investigate? I used phpinfo(} to get info, but the php.ini it gives is not the setting my paths.

Thanks for any help

Let's take a step back... What is the problem exactly? Are you getting an error message? What is the error?

thanks

Hi

Thanks

When I try using:

$myRoot = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'];
$reportMe = get_include_path();

echo $myRoot;
echo $reportMe;

I get the paths stated on the page I am working with.

But when I have a line like:
include_once("inclusions/stylesheets.inc.php");

Nothing loads.

There is not an error message. Just nothing loads. Requires of course are unusable.

I recently switched to trying to use PEAR, and have been having this since then. I don't want to go into too long a story as to why!!

Thank you for your kindess,
K

I'd need FTP access to debug. Why are requires unusable?

Yay!!!

In case anyone else ever has this problem, the issue was with Plesk.

On the Tools & Settings page,
PHP Settings

Two options to set

'open_basedir' and 'include_path'

I had done the first, but omitted the second.

Thanks
