CMS deleting and rearranging code

I have a weird situation going on. I opened the power CMS editor. Added this code to one of the pages:

<a href="#species" class="btn btn-info collapsed" data-toggle="collapse"><span class="glyphicon icon-indicator"></span> Species</a>
<div id="species" class="collapse border-padded">

Works great the first time. Any FUTURE edits REWRITES THE CODE TO:

<a class="btn btn-info collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" href="#species">Species</a>

<div class="collapse border-padded" id="species">

thereby deleting and rearranging it to make it NOT work.

Can you help me track down this nasty bug? Need to go live very soon. :-(

It looks like the solution will be to add this to the webassist/ckeditor/config.js file:

CKEDITOR.dtd.$removeEmpty['span'] = false;

Your support is superior!!

I was looking for this but in the wrong file, still used to using the old KFM. Thanks, this seems to have done the trick. And...Thanks for taking the time to get me fixed up!
