Checkout and Continue Shopping Buttons Do Not Work

Hello All,

I am having some technical difficulties with the Checkout and Continue Shopping Buttons. I have extensively read other threads in which users have had these issues; however, those solutions do not seem to work; which is why I am now turning to the gurus. The Checkout nor the Continue Shopping Button redirect anywhere. The stay on the same page. The Update Cart button does work, and the Clear Button works; however, it redirects you to Continue Shopping Button, which, as stated above, does not work. I deleted the checkout.php file and went through the Checkout Wizard option, which created all .php files associated successfully. However, when I upload them, and try them out, they still do not work. I am beyond my comprehension of WEBASSIST, at this point. I have attached a .zip files.

Lastly, I have inherited this webpage from my predecessor, so I apologize if it is cumbersome.

After running the checkout wizard, you also have to upload the shopping cart page.

Do you have a url where I can view the site? That might help me figure out what to look for in the files.

I apologize.

This is URL.

http://www.bearcatmfg.com/php/parts_Search.php

You can hit select and all parts will populated. You can go through the entire process, if you'd like, since all the other buttons work. However, I have added one item to our cart and this is where the issue lies. This url is:

http://www.bearcatmfg.com/php/cart.php

Thank you, Ray.

You have a lot of extra line breaks in your cart.php page. If you remove those it will redirect to the checkout page and probably continue shopping page like it is supposed to.

Thank you for your help, Ray. With your assistance, I was able to get everything working now. However, I have two separate issues, now. These issues are as followed:

1. The checkout.php does not have an type of check to see if any fields are left blank. One can literally leave the entire form blank and proceed to check out. Is there a simple, snippet of code I can add to the .php file, or should I run through the checkout wizard?

2. No email confirmation is sent to the customer.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

You can apply the jquery form validation extension on the page pretty easily to add validation. Just go to: Webassist->Forms->JQuery Validation

You can also apply universal email to the page to send an email with the contents of the cart on the confirm.php page. Just go to Webassist->Create Email Message
