Call to member function Prepare() on null

I'm getting this error on a mysqli rs

<b>Fatal error</b>: Call to a member function Prepare() on string in <b>/home/vinesine/public_html_dev/webassist/mysqli/queryobj.php</b> on line <b>123</b><br />

I'm not sure why. The query works correctly, but when I call the page from a specific ajax function I have I get this error. The functions is to send an email. The email gets sent, but the logging is not working and I believe is what causes this error.

Try changing:
<?php require_once('central_i.php'); ?>

to:
<?php require('central_i.php'); ?>

The error implies that the connection include isn't creating the connection to the database.
