Insert record - can I show/hide divs on page rather than go to new page?

Insert record - can I show/hide divs on page rather than go to new page?

I have a simple email signup form (page sent in private) using Google Recaptcha, and it is working great!

I want to know if it is possible to hide the div with the form in and instead show a "thank you" message there once the insert record is complete.

It is possible to do that with javascript, but our extensions won't help with that directly. It should be fairly simple to do with a script and setting the css attribute to display:none for that form.
