Sluggish MySQL Response

Sluggish MySQL Response

Windows 10 Pro, MySQL 5.5, PHP 5.5, Apache 2.4.

Using the DataAssist Pages; Wizards load very slowly (getting multiple File Activity localhost windows) taking about a minute to actually get to the Wizard. When I do get there every time the Wizard needs to access the database it chugs along real slowly (800% or so slower than previously), and I can never seem to complete the Wizard.

It seems to have trouble talking with the db. I've disabled the LLMNR hosts and the IPV6 protocol on the network card. I've tried using both MySQL 5.1 and 5.5 with the same issues. I've re-installed Apache 2.4.

I don't have the same issue on a Win7 Pro laptop. No File Activity localhost windows starting up, and the Wizard has no issues.

Thoughts??

Mike

I haven't seen that before, so I don't know what the cause could be. It puts up a file using your testing server settings and then browses the file to get the database information. Is it slow browsing php pages that connect to the database on your server as well?

No -- normal (non dynamic) pages load fine. Pages with calls to the db do seem to load a little slower on the Win10 machine compared to theWin7 Laptop -- odd because the laptop is a 2.3 GHz quad core, and the desktop is a 3.1 GHz Quad.

I'm concerned that Win 10 has something to do with it. . .

I use Win 10 without issue. So it alone is not the problem.

I'll give that a try -- this is frustrating. . . :-)

I presume I should uninstall all the discrete programs before installing. . .

I doubt it is the issue. It seems more likely that it is the Dreamweaver version. Are you using the latest CC version?

CS6 Fresh install (program & WA Extensions)

It could be CS6 on Windows 10. Those two were never built for each other.
