Cannot cleanly uninstall free tools from Dreamweaver CS5

Cannot cleanly uninstall free tools from Dreamweaver CS5

I *thought* I uninstalled these extensions using the Extension Manager. Now every time I open Dreamweaver, I get a dialog that has been described in these forums: "While executing onLoad in WA_unInstall2.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:"

"At line 12 of file "C"\Programs Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\Configuration\Floaters\WA_Installer2.html":
curDOM has no properties.

I've not been able to resolve these with the various published suggestions. What's gone wrong and how can I fix it? Why can't I completely remove these WebAssist tools?

Thanks! Kim

So sorry about that. It should have automatically removed those files after you uninstalled.

I can help you manually remove them at this point.

What you can do is:

1) Open Windows explorer and type this into the file path: %appdata%
2) From there browse to your Adobe/Dreamweaver CS5 configuration folder
3) Find the Floaters folder and just delete anything that begins with WA_ in that folder

That should do it. Let me know if you have any problems.

Unfortunately, now I get another error; once when it starts to open, then again after I've clicked OK:

The following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
“Unable to open script file “C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\Configuration\WA_Installer\Library2\WA_Configuration.js” (error 3).

We worked through this over the weekend. There were a couple of more files in the /Startup and /Commands folders that were left behind that had to be deleted manually.
