What is the recommended Dreamweaver configuration?

What is the recommended Dreamweaver configuration?

I am using Adobe Creative Cloud, and have installed the latest update of Dreamweaver CC 2017, but I find that I am getting javascript errors and over the weekend got a lot of hang time and "not responding" issues, and of course the 'deprecated' bindings panel looks awful and half finished.

I would be interested to know your opinion on the optimum version of Dreamweaver to install in order to get the most optimum performance from the MySQLi behaviors extension.

You may have installed in the wrong order? Usually if you install the MySQLi server behaviors after the Deprecated Server Behaivors it will fix the incomplete user interfaces and correct any errors.

What is the exact error that you are seeing? My guess is that there was a problem with the installation that needs to be addressed and then it should start functioning properly.

Hi Ray,

I installed the deprecated server behaviors first, then the MySQLi extension, and it has been working happily fora while - I was enjoying learning how to get the best out of it. This weekend I had to create two files each with an insert record behavior. It may have been my computer, because also this week the computer stopped working, and I had to re-format the entire hard drive and install a clean version of Windows 10 before it would work.

When I was trying to sort out the pages I was getting errors similar to "script name UNKNOWN has been running for a long time" or something similar, and it was causing it to hang.

Like I said, it probably was the computer dying, but now I have a clean install of 2017 on a newly installed version of Win10 and I am sure that will fix the problem :)
