htaccess redirect or rewrite

Hey Ray

Have just added SSL to an existing site and need to set up 301 or rewrites on the http:// -> https://

Just wondering if you'd have any insight on what is happening here.

If I try to use a 301 redirect in the htaccess like this

Redirect 301

The resulting URL looks like this:

If I try to use a rewrite like this

RewriteRule [L,R=301]

the resulting URL look slike this

It looks like it could be a conflict with another redirect rule. I'd have to debug to see.
