Old CMS Builder site on new PHP version

I have a client who has an old CMS site and the site was recently updated. He now gets these messages upon login.
Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/liftmyspirit/public_html/cms/WA_Globals/WA_Globals.php on line 42
Warning: mysql_free_result() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/liftmyspirit/public_html/cms/WA_Globals/WA_Globals.php on line 67 No database selected

I'm attempting to help him out with it and he doesn't want to get rid of the CMS. Is there a way to fix this?

That implies that the database connection information is wrong. I'd look into that. Maybe the database server changed or the password was updated? Maybe the database didn't get transferred over properly?
