Jamie

using a session variable on another page

Hey Ray

Have created a session

<?php
@session_start();
if(!isset($_SESSION["UseEmail"])) {
$_SESSION["UseEmail"] = "".$row_WADAlogins['UserEmail'] ."";
}
?>

on the attached page (customer_update.php) so that I can use the email address on the other atatched page message_insert.php

When I try to echo the session to the message_insert.php page it shows nothing.

What have I done wrong?

Cheers

Jamie

The code is in the wrong order. Since you are setting the session variable to the value from the recordset, it needs to be below the recordset on the page. Just move the code down below the recordset on the customer_update page and it should fix the problem.
