works locally, but not on remote host

I've designed sites for several years but only for service businesses or non-profits. Suddenly I have four jobs pending that all want to sell product online. I thought "eCart to my rescue!" I was please at how clear the tutorial was and how well the Blue Sky site works on my computer (a Mac using MAMP), but I was surprised that there was nothing in the tutorial explaining how to move the files up to my remote host. And indeed it doesn't work when I click on either "Gear" or "Music;" this is the error message:

It's obvious that "'root@localhost'" is not correct, and I can open connBSM.php and see how to change it, but change it to what? I've tried all variations of my host server I can think of, and my actual passwords, etc. but still get the same message (but with my changes obviously).

Can someone show me what gets entered here (from a working remote site)?

This error is complaining about the username and password that are being used to connect to the MySQL Database on the remote hosts site.


YOu should check with your host to find the correct username and password to use to connect to the MySQL Server. They will be able to provide all of the correct information for creating a connection to the MySQL Server.
