database query re two step email validation

Quick question - am about to set foot on the two step email validation for new registrations - early on it talks about haviung a new database connection and that it will sort the database stuff itself. i already have a MySql database attached to this site - do i need any special considerations at this point - if i use this database connection info will it configure ok and leave my other database tables intact?

You can just skip that step and use your existing connection.
