Update record using mysqli

I just cannot get mysqli record to update my record. I have used web assist products for years very familiar with the old update,insert delete record.

Remove the action from the form. You are updating based on a $_GET variable. By specifying the form action without the url parameters the $_GET is cleared when the form posts. If you leave the action blank it will forward the url parameters passed to the page in the first place.
