After offering free samples on website that can be added to order, someone attempting to hack database w/ 3000's attempts in placing incomplete orders, how do I prevent this activity? Don't really want to place a captcha in the order process fearing it will frustrate buyers with will then loose those buyers.

Simple questions, honeypots, and CAPTCHA are the three most common techniques I've heard of to prevent bots from posting. Another technique may be to save the IP address and prevent repeat orders from the same IP or even address if it is a shipped good.
