dynamic dropdown and persist form data

Hi all,
I have a form with Dynamic dropdown (two select dropdown menus) and server side validation.
Is there a way to preserve the user selected dropdown fields after the page reloaded because of failed validation?
I can use the 'persist entries" for all other fields, but those dynamic dropdown menus reset to default every time the validation fails.
How can I make the selected dynamic dropdown fields remain selected after failed validation?
TIA
tony

You would have to use the behavior (not server behavior) to
1) filter and populate the sub-list using the body onload
2) set the value of the sub-list to the persisted value

Hi Ray,
there is no onload event in the behaviour window. If I insert it manually I receive an error message stating that this is not a valid event for the select.
Is there a sample to look at?
TIA

Highlight the <body> tag to see the onload event. Give it a try and if you have problems attach a copy of the page I can give you some sample code.
