Make sure to install the "Server Behaviors and Database" add on from the Adobe plugin store. It is free but is no longer included by default.

Thanks - Added detracted server behaviour from adobe.

does the data bridge use the new mysqli in its outputs/functions?

If you can't the coding produce by ecart and data bridge will this be at risk in the future?

DataBridge does not currently produce MySQLi code. In the future we will be updating DataBridge to produce MySQLi. Ecart will currently work with MySQLi if you were to purchase and use the MySQLi Server Behaviors.

Hi Ray
Does this mean that I should avoid using data assist for now and use MySQL instead. As I am a novice at this will the MySQL be enough. Also I wanted to build admin and for my store would I still be able to use data assist for the generated pages or would you advise not to use.

Other questions:
1. What would happen if I continued to build using data assist - would the pages be at risk of crashing sometime in near future
2. If I get the mysqli would I have to build store pages again
3. When I have MySQL could I use this in conjunction with data assist produced pages would there be conflicts

1) It would not crash any time in the near future. You would have to refrain from upgrading to php 7 any time soon, but realistically all major hosting providers will support php 6 for the next decade.
2) You wouldn't have to do anything. You could if you wanted to.
3) Both MySQL and MySQLi pages and code can coexist on the same site or even same page without issues.
