SUM() Function Disregards Date-Range Selected in the Search Form

Hi:

I have a WADA Search/Results sequence designed to show the SUM() of the NUMERIC values stored in five different fields in a DB table.

The problem is the sums are always the same, regardless of the date-range selected in the Search form. What am I NOT doing right?

Your search trigger was set to use the form button named "Submit" and you are using an image and javascript to submit the form not the button. I updated the trigger to look for the first date range field and that appears to have corrected the problem.

Thank you for making the update. A little problem now may be the need to enter a date in the "From" field. Anyway to make the image the trigger?

No... but you could add a hidden form element to the form and use that as a trigger since it will always be present.

OK. Let's say I add a hidden form element "trigg" to the form, how would the syntax for the Trigger field look like? Right now it looks like this: isset($_GET["S_Date7"]) && $_GET["S_Date7"]

isset($_GET["trigg"])

Ray:

I had tried that on the local server but it disregards any date-ranges and only gives the sum for ALL entries. No problem, though, I think it's OK with S_Date7 as the trigger.

Thank you for your attention and have a good one
