Printing USPS Label

Id like to know if anyone knows of a solution to have a link to prepopulate fields for printing a mailing label. Im hoping some service provider out there allows for a link to send over name, address, etc so i can just make a link the client can click on to pre-populate on the third party site. shes tired of copy/pasting all the address details and wants an easier solution.

any tricks anyone else has done to create this feature for thier clients would be greatly appreciated!

It seems like you could do that with a web page... just create a page that has the information in the correct position and she could just print it from her browser.

thanks, but im not looking for her to print onto plain mailing labels. I need them to be usps mailing labels. im hoping to figure out a way to have a url that links to say stamp.com and sends the address info to thier form. Right now she copies/pastes all the info over to stamps.com. shes getting enough orders that this is a pain and slows her down. so we would like a way to have the link contain the address info that will prepopulate the form with the address. this way she only has to enter weight.

i cant believe NOBODY has done this.

ray,

i havent added usps to the checkout process because the client uses a flatrate shipping fee. However, if i were to connect the usps to the checkout for shipping, would it show in her usps account? i had previously believed that added the usps (or other provider) would only return a shipping rate. But now im wondering if that feature would actually send the details to usps and be stored for her to just login and print the labels.

It would only calculate the rate and not print the labels. I think USPS does have an api for actually sending the details, but we don't have that integrated so it would have to be hand coded. We could try to help with something like that in a premier support ticket if you are interested.
