Page redirects before credentials are authenticated

Hello,

I have a login page that requires a username and password. With the correct the credentials the user is directed to an authentication error screen before authentication.

I have the pages set to require authentication so the user can't URL it directly.

Do I need a sleep() and am I missing something?

How do you want it to work? sleep() isn't the solution, but I'd have to see the pages you are working on and understand what you are trying to do in order to give any advice on how to fix it.

Hi,

I have attached the 2 files in question. The Login page, when entering proper credentials loads the portalindex.php page before the credential are validated. The portalindex.php page throws an error to the user because the credentials are not validated (in time) before the redirect occurs.

I am trying to have the portalindex.php throw an error when the page is accessed from address bar (direct input) and have the redirect to the portalindex.php when the proper credentials are entered in the login.php page

Authentication shouldn't take any time... so I'm not sure how it would redirect before they were completed.

Can I get FTP access to the server to debug? I'll have to do some tests to see what the issue is.

The login and page appear to be working for me... what should I be looking at?
