mysqli extension update

I wondered if there was an update for this extension coming soon? It's been a while since the last update it seems.

It's a great extension but there is some fairly basic functionality missing that wold be useful to have...would save me hand-coding each time.

What would you like to see added? We have been doing minor updates, but the larger update will be the integration into DataBridge that will add a lot of functionality. I'd like to know what you often hand code to see if we can easily account for it too.
