PayPal’s TLS 1.2 and HTTP/1.1 Upgrade Will it impact anything for us

As the subject says really. Will we need to do anything.PayPal are already using this new protocol in their sandbox and are going to use it in the main PayPal area in June 2016.

This article explains a lot http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/paypals-tls-1-2-http1-1-upgrade-impact-membership-site/ I know it's related to WordPress but this will effect any script that uses PayPal.

Many thanks

John

It shouldn't have any impact on your site.

Just to clarify. If we are using eCart to point at the PayPal Standard Payment Gateway - in other words, we are not handling any part of the transaction on site - are we impacted at all?

My sense is that no, there will be no impact but damned if I can find any mention of it on PayPal's sites. Everything seems to be about if you are handling the transaction on your own site but utilizing their payment system.
