JQuery Validation won't validate phone number
For some reason, this won't pass the JQuery Validation.
<input name="Phone" type="tel" required pattern="\(\d{3}\) \d{3}[\-]\d{4}">
Everything else works including type="email" with a pattern applied for email. And the phone number will even validation if I change the type to "text" instead of "tel". But I need it to be "tel".
All of this was created through the JQ Validation wizard and nothing was changed by hand. The only thing created outside of the wizard was the form, field and button.
I've reproduced this issue over and over on a new blank page.
This is for a US phone number and I'm entering (999) 999-9999. This is an HTML5 document.
Tested in Firefox, Safari and Chrome. All react the same. I'm stumped. Anyone else encounter this?
Thanks,
