CSS Issues

I have a problem that is driving me mad!

On get-leathereduk.com, my clients didn't want the news pods, so I removed them, as you can see.

However, I want the content area that begins 'We Love what we do to go the whole width at the bottom.

Try as I might, I cannot find the necessary CSS to enable this to happen - I've messed around, inspected elements and it's probably really simple!

I'd also like the height of the store message area below the header, to increase in height so I can put a product slideshow in there.

Help!!

TIA
Andrew

Hey Andrew

Re your first problem, you have an element .infoWrapper in the default_home.css file which has margin-right: 360px; which is causing the large space on the right hand side.

Re your second problem #storeMessage in the default_home.css file has height: 220px; - if thats the area youre meaning, then just change the height to whatever you require it to be.

Hope this helps

CSS Issues - Part Deux

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for your help the other day. I have another slight problem get-leathereduk.com.

If you look at the attached screenshot, I have a gap between the content and the footer, not sure if it's a margin or padding issue, and, if so, where is it? I've altered that much CSS, I'm very confused. Can you help?

Thanks in advance

Andrew

Hi Andrew

Also in the default_home.css file you have

.infoWrapper p {margin: 10px;}

You'll need to change the value to 0 - but be aware that this might affect other elements which are referencing the same css as it will apply to any <p> element found within the <div> with the infoWrapper class

All the best

no prob Andrew. glad to help

if youre using the browser firefox, try using an addon call firebug which lets you explore the underlying code of a web page - its really handy. takes a lot of getting used to and i've only just scratched the surface. I think its available on Chrome too
