Referring URL Used For Validation

Thread began 12/21/2015 12:41 pm by mrobben375515 | Last modified 12/22/2015 1:11 pm by Ray Borduin | 312 views | 1 replies |

Referring URL Used For Validation

I want to only allow users coming from a specific URL to access my site. The URL will be "" When the user clicks on an icon inside that site, it passes the users email and pw to my login page. This works, but I don't know how to validate the referring URL. Any suggestions? I tried to setup a Security Assist rule, but I can't figure out how to do it. I am attaching my login page and my ftp credentials if it helps.

You can access the referring url with: $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']

So you might be able to do something like:

if (
$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] == "")  {
$_SESSION['referrergood'] =  "yes"
if (!isset(
$_SESSION['referrergood'])) {
header("location: /badreferrer.php?ref=".$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']);
