re-send verification email

Thread began 11/12/2015 8:56 am by s.joiner74419001 | Last modified 11/12/2015 2:14 pm by Ray Borduin | 330 views | 1 replies |

re-send verification email

Ray you recently worked on my Members application system which you applied an email verification function. This all works fine but I do not have the option for the user to have the verification email re-sent if their original expires or is invalid for what ever reason. I suppose the place to add a re-send link would be on the 'email-confirm.php' page you created. I have attached all the pages that I think are relevant which should help.

I understand if this will need a premier support ticket. Just let me know and I will book one in or flag you on Skype.

You can do this by adding a confirm form to wherever you want and have them enter their email address. Then add a recordset that is filtered by the email address and then set the two session variables used in the email from the recordset: 'members_id' and 'random_pw'.

Once those are set you can copy and paste the same email code from the pp_confirm.php page to the page with the resend option and then edit it and change just the trigger and the TO option to use the form you created.

This is something we could easily accomplish in a premier support ticket.
