CC 2015 has a problem installing extensions

DW CC 2015 and the extension Manager have a problem with installing new extensions saying "Extension cannot be installed, it is requires DW version 9 or greater"

Any ideas anyone?

CC 2015 has been out for a while I am wondering about this message???

The Adobe Extension manager doesn't work for CC 2015. The best solution we have found is to use the third-party extension manager from DMXZone: http://www.dmxzone.com/go/22670/dmxzone-extension-manager-for-dreamweaver/

They announced they would no longer be supporting the Extension Manager. They will only be supporting installing extensions from their exchange where they take 30% of all extension sales.... they know about it.

Like you, I am fuming at what Adobe is doing. So that I do not start using expletives, I will not go into this any further. As Ray has mentioned, the best solution is to use the DMXZone Extension Manager, it is free of charge. Once you have installed the EM, use the EM to install the deprecated server behaviours. This will re-install the panels that you are talking about.

After that, come back to the WA site, click the CC-extension(s) and (using Firefox) open using the new EM. You will get a few warnings. Just ignore these and all is well.

The only problem I have found so far is with Framework Buider. When you want to create a new page, make sure that you have an empty document named with filename that you wish to allocate to the new document, like myFile.php. Then apply Framework Builder and it will place all of the code in the new page, but also create an untitled page (????). Delete the untitled page and continue with the required page.

As soon as Ray has the time, I will put the problem to him.

Any other problems with Dreamweaver? Go to their forum and vent your feelings.

Thank you Ray and Ben.

This is not right on so many levels, no only to WA but to all WA's extensions users.

I got the extensions going and I got the server behaviors panels as well.

I am not sure what do you mean Ben by saying "After that, come back to the WA site, click the CC-extension(s) and (using Firefox) open using the new EM. You will get a few warnings. Just ignore these and all is well." Do I have install another Extension Manager on top of what I have now or what?

I am getting everything the way it was. I am going trough my when I realized a lot of red exclamation marks, especially in the store admin back end, which I have called index.php and I believe it was products_results.php.

I can see it is looking for WADAproducts Record Set and it is missing. I don't know what has happen, but I don't recall the Record Set being missing. Is it possible this has occurred after the update and how should I go about it to fix it?

Thank you.

Kamen,

If the extensions are working properly and you did not follow my suggested procedure, then there is no need to worry. I only suggested a method, but there are more ways to skin a cat. The attached image shows what I do to install a WA extension.

As far as the missing record set is concerned, this has to be a problem that is not related to the installation of the extensions. I am not sure which version of DW you had prior to upgrading. If this was CS6, then it is possible to re-install CS6 through CC. It is still available and will happily live alongside CC. That way you can assure yourself that the problem lies with the code.

Hi Ben,

Id did install the extensions no problem there at all. It did work. One thing I wasn't clear on was what you meant by "After that, come back to the WA site, click the CC-extension(s) and (using Firefox) open using the new EM. You will get a few warnings. Just ignore these and all is well."

Thank you.
