Changing Colour and Size back to ID's on return from PayPal

I wonder if you can help.
On return from PayPal I need to change the "Size" and "Colour" back to sizeID and colourID.
I need to do this so that I can update a cross reference table (which uses qscID, ItemID, colourID and sizeID. qscID being the primary ID of the table) to reduce the size and colour of a product.
The cart sends "Colour" and "Size" from a dynamic dropdown, which uses the cross referance table to update the sizes in the sizes dropdown depending on the colour chosen in the colour dropdown. The colour dropdown fields are both set to colour so that colour and not colourID is shown in the cart, so at present there is no way to reference the ID's in the cart.
Any ideas?

I think your best option will be to add columns to your shopping cart to save those values when they add the item to the cart. That way you can reference them from the cart after the purchase is made.

This is something we could help with in a premier support ticket.

Thanks Ray,
I'll try that, thought I might have to go that way, just trying to avoid a lot of changes.
